Decorative Japanese Wakizashi, part of the high-quality exclusive collection ‘Oriental Weapons’ made by Marto. Some of the finest swords available on the market today, a prized possession for any collector of today as it would have been for any warrior of the ancient past, usually worn by the ‘Samurai’ class or ‘chonin’ class, including merchants in feudal Japan, on the left side, secured to the waist sash.
The styled Tsuba/Guard is black iron and is an attractive complement to the traditionally wrapped cotton cord grip.
Marto Wakizashi’s are fully tempered AISI 440 Stainless Steel blades, polished and detailed, making it virtually maintenance-free.
The traditional black Wakizashi measures 30″ in overall length, and is presented in a custom black textured and baked aluminum scabbard, with a gloss black finish and features a black traditional hand-tied Saego. Approximate weight 1,2 kg.
